I signed up here because of the reviews and I’m glad I did. I’ve had three experiences since signing up earlier this year, the free initial kitten check, a minor ongoing issue and a castration. All the vets have been lovely and will also respond to emails with advice rather than always suggesting an appointment. I was worried about vet costs but I feel like they’ve been very low so far and really good value for money- the first two instances were free (other than some optional costs like flea medication and supplements) and the castration actually ending up costing less than the quote. Reception is also friendly and easy to get things sorted with!

I had a very traumatic experience with Medivet on the Abberville. I brought my golden retriever in for a regular check up, during which the vet managed to be so heavy handed in her manipulation that she tore my dogs crucial ligaments- resulting in her being unable to walk. This then meant I had to spend over 6k with another vet putting my dog through theatre and repairing the torn crucial ligaments. The vet obviously denied doing this. But I walked into the vets with a happy dog and walked out with a dog unable to walk. It was incredibly stressful and upsetting. I think if you have a dog with sensitive hips or legs do not go near this vet. The vet that fixed my dog was amazing, so gentle with her and she was able to diagnose her within minutes just from very gently touching her. There was absolutely no need for this level of manipulation.
